A Brick for Hank Aaron’s Museum

Bill and Betty, the operators of the Mobile BayBears, were gracious enough to buy Jason and I a brick to be placed at the new Hank Aaron Museum. It sounds like it’s going to be a great scene. They’re moving Hank’s childhood home there!

So cool, thanks Bill and Betty. You guys are the best! Jason and I are proud to be apart of it.

  1. I’m sure I’ve shared this before, but one of my favorite parts of the HOF in Cooperstown was a pair of letters sent to Hank Aaron as he approached the HR record. One was a letter of encouragment and one was a letter threatening him with some very bad language. It brought tears to my eyes to think that our country in such recent times could have contained so many racist assholes. I don’t know if I was just lucky in my upbringing or if I was just the first post-segregation generation, but Hammering Hank was a hero to me growing up and I feel sorry for anyone else who feels otherwise.
