Thanks for an amazing first FULL year of The Clink Room! You guys are the best I can’t wait for all the insanity of 2011. Big things for Clink and Plan B. Branding are in the works and I can’t wait. I hope you guys have lots to look forward to. See you in 2011!

Night League entries start next week! (We’ve got a ton of them already!)

Call for 150 Club – Blind Cave Shrimp

The Bowling Green Blind Cave Shrimp Edition cap drops this Sunday, January 2nd! Finally! That means we need to open The 150 Club. We love the idea of you guys owning a specific number in the Edition. Before we drop the Blind Cave Shrimp Edition on Monday, we’re opening up the 150 Club to new members. Here’s how it works…

• If you have an Edition tag number that you want reserved for you, send us an email requesting the tag number and your size. We will confirm or decline the request. If it’s confirmed, you’re in the The 150 Club. If it’s declined, it’s because that number’s been taken. You may resubmit your request for a tag number as many times as it takes.

Send your requests here…

Casey & Jason

• When a Edition drops, you will see an option under the size selection menu that says “The 150 Club”. Select that option when buying. We’ll know your name and will have reserved your size and Edition number.

• There are no reto-active claims to numbers. If you join the 150 Club then you own that number from this Edition on. For instance, we can’t give you #67 in a 7 1-4 for the Tulsa Edition.

• We will reserve your Edition number (in your name and your size) for one week after the drop.

• This is for collectors, people that want to have every Edition cap that we drop. If you don’t buy your Edition cap in that first week then your cap will get dumped into the regular inventory and you will be removed from the The 150 Club. I understand that that may sound a little ruthless, but this is an exclusive club.

• The 150 Club only pertains to the signed and numbered Editions. Not the other products that we offer.

Deadline to request membership into the 150 Club for the Blind Cave Shrimp Edition is before the end of the day Monday, January 3rd. Thanks to all the current 150 Club members for they’re loyalty – we love you!

Freeky Zeeky

Joshua Slay, The Clink Room’s #1 hype-man. Scored these excellent photos of Freeky Zeeky of Dipset showing off some Clink gear.

Speaking of Clink gear, more sneak peaks of this newest Edition tomorrow! The much talked about, much anticipated Bowling Green Blind Cave Shrimp! Available Sunday, January 2nd. Call for the 150 Club tomorrow.

Jason is a Virgin Stalker

Virgin Atlantic Airways that is. Did you know that when the original iPhone first came out, Jason (on his own time) had our programer create the first flight tracker App just for Virgin Atlantic? He even used Virgin’s graphic specs that he nicked from somewhere online.

They’ve now made a video immortalizing Jason’s life story, his strange personal struggle, and the creation of a new tracker app. Jay, your App will always be my favorite.

Kong Immortalized in Flesh!

Our first Clink inspired tattoo! I know that great brands like Mishka, The Hundreds and Benny Gold are awash in tattoos inspired by their brand. And I’ve drawn more tattoos for friends than I can count. But this is really special. Clink Kong, heck Clink itself is created and perpetuated by all you Clinkers out there. Now we’ve got Clink tattoos to look forward to, hot damn. I think I need to get a Kong on me now. Jay, can we write that off as a business expense?Lets take a look at the birth of Jes’ Clink Kong tattoo. Jes operates a clothing/skate shop called Conspiracy out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Go check out his new Kong piece in person here or follow the Conspiracy blog here. Jes, be sure to plug your tattooist in the comments.

Opening Day – The Night League

As an early Christmas gift to all our Clinkers we’re kicking off the Night League today! Jason and I are stoked to start another collaboration with you guys. I can’t wait to see what you come up with.

WHAT IS THE NIGHT LEAGUE? The Night League is about celebrating all the greatness that goes on after the sun goes down. Your team name could be inspired by your love of libations… the Bar Hoppers, the Guzzlers, or the Swill. Or you could go with nighttime extracurriculars… the Night Writers, the Procrastinators, or the Red Eyes. What about the Sleepy Heads, the Early Birds, or the Insomniacs? Or maybe you create a beer logo for Clink, or show Kong howling at the Moon. The more clever the better. Don’t be afraid to get goofy. Don’t plagiarize. Don’t use the names of real teams, don’t copy existing designs.

THIS IS HOW IT WORKS: You guys will name your team and design your own cap logos, you email your designs to us and we post them on Clink in the order we receive them. We will all comment on the designs. When we get enough designs, then we’ll announce a deadline. For now, consider it a rolling deadline. We’ll then pick the concepts with the best story, team name, and design.

• You’ll have your cap produced.
• You’ll receive 5 caps for you and your friends.
• And, for every set of 72 caps that we produce with your design on it, you’ll receive $125!
• When we reorder, boom another $125 bucks and 5 more hats.

In the Entry Form folder you’ll find a template for you to submit your team’s story and design. USE THE TEMPLATE. Adobe Illustrator is our preference, but we’ll try to work with you if you don’t know it. You will also find the thread and fabric color swatches for production. The colors appear differently in Illustrator than they do it real life, just approximate. Here’s the link to download everything that you’ll need to enter your design (2.6MB zip file)….

• E-mail it to
“NIGHT LEAGUE” needs to appear in the subject line of your email.
• We prefer your artwork to be in vectored format. If you can save as .AI , .EPS or .PDF that would be best.

• Use the templates.
• Don’t plagiarize.
“NIGHT LEAGUE” needs to appear in the subject line of your email.
• Submit as many entries as you can dream up.
• No need to make it baseball or sport specific.
• Most importantly – have fun!

Steven the Dreamweaver

It’s not often that I run across a reason to be insanely jealous. It’s not that I have everything I want or that I don’t aspire for things or experiences that others have. I think I just focus on what’s on my plate or in my future and that seems to be good enough for me. That being said, it happens. And Steven from Toronto just zinged me a good one. Just look at this place!!

It’s an entire man-cave dedicated to his memorabilia collection (with video game lounge of course). And that collection features the largest body of New Era’s I have ever seen! So impressive.

Each one of these cubbyholes is like 10 caps deep! Each drawer or shelf below the cubbies is like 2 rows deep! I know a few Clink caps are in the mix here but it would be like “Where’s Waldo?” to find the things.

I love an obsessive. I think one of the big problems with modern society is that the options are so endless no one can pinpoint exactly what they want so no one gets what they want. But Steven is our laser beam. Well done Steven, you’re an inspiration. I’ve been talking with Nai at Strictly Fitteds about Steven and his collection and hopefully Nai will present an in depth look at Steven’s collection, his selection process, etc. Can’t wait.

Um… Santa just called and said that a new league starts tomorrow!?

Doorbell Drop – Orlando

While we were in Orlando for the Winter Meetings we snuck away for a hot minute to drop off an On-Location Doorbell Drop to Amber and Joshua. Joshua was out of town but Amber was excited to see us! Actually, from the look of this picture Jason might have been more excited than Amber. It was really fun to do this and it’s got us real excited to do more. Order sumthin and it could be your doorbell that gets dropped.
