“Hey Clinkers! So it was pointed out to us that the Ghost Army was activated in 1944 not 1923 as it appears on the side patch. We’re not sure what happened. Maybe in the long game of telephone that is the Clink design pipeline the "44” got mixed up with the Ghost Army’s designation as "23rd Headquarters Special Troops”? We’re not sure. In any case, it’s a bummer but we’ve got a plan!
First this hat is now priced at $44 as an acknowledgment of 1944. Also, half of the sales will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Lastly, we’ve ordered pins that say “44” in the exact same font and size as the “23” so you can amend the side patch with it (Check the rendering in the photos). The original description: This is my tribute to soldiers who were encouraged to creatively mislead, deceive and befuddle the enemy utilizing inflatable tanks, sound trucks, scripts and pretense. Many were recruited from art schools, advertising agencies and other occupations that encouraged creative thinking.
