The entire Big 5 concept is one I came up with while on a work trip to South Africa last year. While there I took a day to explore and go on a legit safari. I learned that for many, the goal is to spot the Big 5 while on any safari. They are the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and cape buffalo. These are some of the most difficult and elusive animals to find in the wild. Seeing all five in one day is considered extremely rare. So I put together a group of some of the best designers The Clink Room has ever seen to bring my Big 5 concept to life! I have worked with Patrick Flanagan for a while now on various concepts, so it was a must that I asked him to come aboard! Patrick immediately gravitated towards the African Elephant. At the beginning, I let the group know that I wanted to incorporate binocular framing around at least one of the designs, and Patrick took on that challenge and knocked it out of the park! And to make it even better, he made the binoculars night vision. Wow. Another incredible touch was adding the baby elephant holding the tail of its parent to show just how close these elephant families are and how protective the parents are of their young. Just incredible detail that tells a story. We hope you like it!
