In the hush of night, the Death Valley sand dunes ripple like frozen ocean waves beneath a silver-lit sky. As the moon climbs higher, skeletal surfers rise from beneath the sands, clutching sun-bleached surfboards long abandoned by the living. With ghostly laughter echoing in the wind, they ride the dunes’ crests like tide breaks, chasing a wave that never crashes.
