About This Design
The Deer’s Cry is also known as The Breastplate of St. Patrick. Legend has it that Patrick and his followers were traveling in Ireland and a High King had plotted to ambush and kill them. As they marched Patrick recited his prayer to invoke protection of God and the earth began to tremble as the druids looked across the valley and saw a vision of only a herd of deer allowing them safe passage.
