About This Design
A couple weeks ago, I saw a huge flight of beautiful blue and orange barn swallows flying low to the ground feasting on gnats, they were flying all around us but were only interested in the bugs. With their bright colors and unique tail shape, I though they would make a great "sequel" to the Red-Winged Blackbird hat I designed three years ago. While they are beautiful to look at, the barn swallow is fierce - dive bombing humans or animals that get too close to their nests. I feel like this design has a nice quality of looking like a mask from afar - the wide shoulders looking like eyes and the white tail markings as teeth.
