About This Design
The mythical creature legend of the wendigo comes from the First Nations Algonquian tribes hailing from the northern forests of Nova Scotia, Canada. Legend describes the wendigo as the embodiment of greed and excess. Though always described as gaunt to the point of emaciation, the wendigo is a malevolent, cannibalistic, supernatural being grows in proportion to the human meal it has just eaten.
