Born in El Salvador and now living in Toronto, Canada, SierraGonz uses his design talent to honor his Meso-American heritage.
Acat, the Maya tattoo god, is said to be called upon by tattoo artists for assistance. He blesses the ink, needles and work space. More importantly, he guides the hands of the tattoo artist at every stage for perfect results every time. Body modification was very popular amongst the Maya. They decorated themselves with body art of deep mystical significance. I've added the Mayan glyph "Sabak" which translates to "Ink”. I've also added tattoo machines in his hands to integrate the evolution of tattooing.
