Deadstock originally referred to inventory that doesn't sell. Over time, the sneaker game made the meaning shift to an item that is brand-new condition and preserved its packaging. Now that meaning has bled into hats. Deadstock refers to authentic, unworn items that are usually no longer available from direct retailers. We decided to take this pervasive term and illustrate it with an antique stock ticker with some classic skull symbolism.
