A Mexican designer, who believes that designs inspired by Mexican history and culture are the best way he can help promote a positive vision of México. Jacobo considers it not only a great opportunity as a designer, but also as a responsibility as a Mexican to represent his people and his roots.
No matter which path you choose, we are all on the road to Mictlán. Design inspired by the Mexican belief about the underworld where people who died of natural causes went without class distinction. The deceased person had to overcome the 9 regions that made up Mictlán to finally free their souls and rest in the presence of Mictlantecuhtli and Mictecacíhuatl, the lord and lady of death. It is important to note that in the first level of the underworld were the Xoloitzcuintle, dogs in charge of helping the dead cross the Apanohuacalhuia River; however, only the deceased who had treated their dogs respectfully and lovingly in life were worthy of their help.
