Born in El Salvador and now living in Toronto, Canada, SierraGonz uses his design talent to honor his Meso-American heritage.

These brightly coloured skulls represent the departed souls in the circle of life. We pay respects, celebrate and remember friends and family members whose essence has left this realm. We celebrate their lives and the memories we created with them. Being raised by my grandparents, it hit me hard when my abuela passed away mid-2019 and my abuelo earlier this year in April. I found comfort in all the love they gave me and in the priceless memories. Those that leave us do not die. Only those who are forgetten die. No se muere quien se va. Solo se muere el que se olvida.
