"In 1719 a young man named Robert Low stole his father’s trade ship, hired a crew and set off to become a pirate. He also happened to buy a pet parrot from a man at the docks claiming to be a former pirate. Before long Robert’s crew realised his incompetence as a captain and mutinied against him, throwing him overboard. Failing to decide who would be their new leader, the crew agreed to temporarily declare the parrot, which they all loved, as their captain. Unfortunately the parrot abandoned the crew at the next port. Now leaderless and without direction the crew slowly disbanded, never to be heard from again. Also, this story may or may not be made up."
