Some think the Blue-Footed Booby got it’s name from the Spanish word bobo, meaning foolish or silly, because of the goofy dance males do to show off their bright blue feet to impress females. Lucky for me I didn’t have to be born with big blue feet to win over my amazing wife. She took ornithology in school so credit for this mascot goes to my forever muse, Mrs. Flanny!
