About This Design
Hawaii's ecology is shaped and depends on their remoteness. The islands have over 70 species of fauna that are endemic there, like their own seal, hawks, owls, fruit flies, and my personal favorite: the Nene or Hawaiian Goose. Spending my early elementary years living on Oahu, I remember the sense of pride everyone had knowing the State bird belonged to just us. I wanted to showcase the uniqueness of the islands' ecology with the Nene accented with the state flower Yellow Hibiscus.
