About This Design
Growing up in Northern Wisconsin, you'd see these makeshift hoops nailed to the side of a barn. Now that I live in the city, you see them in alleys, on telephone poles or hung on trees. The backboards are made of scraps of wood with some paint slapped on to show the sweet spot, and a milk crate with the bottom cut out for a hoop. Any ball will do for a pick-up game. Sure, luck and natural talent are be part of realizing your dreams, but passion and hard work go a long way too. You need to be prepared for the time when you get your shot, and someone is shooting buckets at all hours of the day and night, hoping to make their mark in the game they love someday.
