About This Design
The aptly named Kingfisher attacks fish from a perch above the water, waiting for the right time to bomb down from above, crashing through the water and quickly exiting with its prey in beak. They even have the ability to adjust for refraction! I wanted to make the splash of water from its entrance to resemble a subtle crown to signify its royal name. The colors of Kingfishers are bright and bold and gave me the opportunity to use some material colors I haven’t used before.
