Kukulcan is the feathered serpent deity for the Maya. The Aztecs called him Quetzalcoatl. Kukulcan is a creator god who also brought rain and winds. Kukulkan is closely related to the deity Q'uq'umatz off the K'iche' people. It’s not uncommon to see the head of a Maya warrior either replacing the serpent head or coming out of the serpent’s mouth.
