About This Design
Maize was the most important crop in Mesoamerica, it grew well in the climate, it was easily stored, it could be eaten in a number of ways, making it an indispensable part of life. It played a central role in the economy that it was considered sacred and treated like a deity. By combining a mean corn cob with a deity's head dress, I came up with my own Maize God.
