Samurais wore oni masks in battle to embody the fierce power of demons, intimidating enemies and channeling fearlessness. These masks, depicting terrifying mythological creatures, symbolized protection and inner strength. Beyond their psychological edge, they served spiritual purposes, warding off evil and representing the warrior’s resolve. By donning an oni mask, a samurai transformed into an unstoppable force, merging warrior skill with supernatural ferocity and honor.
